I have a new foundation, and its completely different to my usual favourites! Going from a thick, full coverage, matte foundation to something much lighter, dewy and with less coverage was not something I thought I would love, but this foundation is all I want to wear now!

If you want a light weight medium coverage foundation I would recommend this! The formula is quite thick when it comes out of the tube, however its very easy to blend with fingers or a brush to give you a flawless finish. The foundation blends in seamlessly with skin to give you a good and even coverage. As you can see from the above photos the product does have a very dewy finish, which gives you a lovely glow. However I would recommend wearing a very light powder over the top to set it, to avoid looking too shiny (which i did not) .

The above photo shows me wearing the foundation at the end of a long day shopping and catching up with some friends. It has a great staying power so its fantastic if you're on the go all day, but as I said above it does need a little bit of touching up with a light powder every now and then.

Whats your favourite foundation at the moment?

17 August 2015

This post is very much overdue, as I have been absent from this blog for quite some time now. From the November 2014 up until July 2015 I was buried under a pile of work, my final year at University threw a lot of challenges at me including the dreaded dissertation- which explains my absence . However, I have now finished, graduated (with a 2:1 if you were wondering) and back to a less stressful life! Yippee.

I love to blog more than anything, however this post is a little update to let you know why I won't be blogging as much as I did throughout university, firstly I work, and secondly I am still working on Base Magazine, which is where I am from now on going to be dedicating a lot of my time, so make sure you follow us to see some great posts! So Floraldaydreams, will still be posting but I will be dividing my time between this and Base, so make sure you follow them both!

Thank you so much for all of your support!

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils: £4.99

After seeing everyone in the blogging world talk about these Maybelline lip pencils, obviously I had to go and grab a couple to try out- and thats exactly what I did a few weeks ago. I picked up two shades,140 Minimalist and 501 Red Essential.

They pencils are really easy to use, they go on to the lips lovely and with ease, they're really easy to apply all over the lip without making a mess. The packaging is really small and sleek which makes it super easy to throw in your bag and great for on the go application. The only down side I think the pencils have is how they will need to be sharpened once you've used them, I do like a good wind up product.

I obviously went for a bright red shade as its pretty much all I wear, and it ticks all of the boxes for me, bright red, wasn't too drying on the lips and lasted all day. So a prefect find for me. I found it too be a true red shade which I personally think suits all skin tones so its a great one to pick up! However Minimalist wasn't for me, it's soft pink shade with a sheen to it which I really didn't like I found that the tone of pink really didn't do anything for my pale completion and the sheen was a bit too sparkly for my liking. The application however was exactly the same but didn't last quite as long on the lips!

Have you tried any of these, what shade did you love?
