Smashbox It's your prime- review

17 September 2013

As per usual, I was in boots the other day- this really isn't good for my bank balance all the time but I saw this little Smashbox set next to the counter for £14. Yep, I'm one of those girls that falls for the 'great deals' on the way to the checkout.

However with that said, I did actually think this was a great deal- well for me anyways, I didn't own any Smashbox products and wanted to try some of their primers so I thought this little set was a great way for me to try them out. This is also a fantastic little set if you're off on holiday!

The set includes a travel size Photo finish foundation primer (12ml),  a mini Photo finish lid primer (0.5ml) and a mini Photo finish hydrating under eye primer (5ml). For the price I think the sizes are all quite reasonable and will still last quite a while!

Photo Finish Foundation Primer: This primer is obviously for use under your foundation, its colourless and light weight and isn't at all sticky or oily which I can't stand in cheaper primers! I found that my foundation went on so much better upon putting this on, my skin looked great and it actually made it last longer than normal. I really loved this and it actually did give my all time favourite Benefit the Porefessonal a run for its money! I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a primer that will give your skin a flawless look/feel and prolong wear a bit too!

Photo Finish Lid Primer: This is going to sound awful to every beauty blogger out there, but I didn't own an eye shadow primer- not even primer potion. Awful I know. So when I tried this out I was bound to be impressed with is super staying power. My eye shadow lasted so much longer and it didn't crease. The application was super easy too and it went on lovely. A lot of people have said they like Urban Decay's Primer Potion a lot more than this so I think i'll give that one a try next!

Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer: I have to many under eye concealers its unreal most of them are higher end ones so they tend to last all day, not go cakey and not creese. However I do have a few that are great products but wear off quickly or crease but using this little primer before hand stopped that from happening, which meant my concealer lasted all day and still looked almost perfect by the end of the day!

What smash box products have you tried, can you recommend any?
