Bourjois Happy Light Foundation reveiw

30 October 2013

After my love affair with Bourjois' Healthy Mix Foundation it wouldn't have felt right not to give this a try, and boy am I glad I did!

I'm usually an Estee Lauder Double Wear girl all day, every day but I needed something much lighter because I just didn't think the Double Wear formula was working for me anymore. Happy Light claims 'Luminous and Flawless complexion in any light' on the bottle. The formula is great, it goes on really lovely with a light- medium coverage if you use your fingers, or like me if you use a buffing brush it defiantly a medium coverage.

It defiantly illuminates the face and gives you a healthy and natural glow which is a great finish it isn't too dewy or too matte its the perfect happy medium. After trying this I much prefer a dewy finish over a matte one and think i'll have to invest in a new high end foundation, any recommendations?

The staying power is quite good too, I found it lasted a good few hours before I even had to think about topping up. Which brings me to another great point with the formula being so light when you need to top up if you put it straight over the top of your original layer, it doesn't go cakey, at all!

There is one, and only one downside to the foundation and thats the shade range, I have shade '50- Porcelain' which is the lightest of the five shades, yes five. Just five shades. So it is slightly dark for me, and I imagine you fairer people will have a hard time getting a good match, sorry!

I got this in boots for the introductory price of £7.99, which it still is. So I advise you grab it now before it goes back to its normal price of £11.99- which if you ask me, is still a fantastic price for a foundation of this quality!
