Revlon Colorstay eyeshadow in 500 Reveiw

15 November 2013

I picked up this little quad when I was in boots last week, it full of natural brown shades which I wear the most so it was right up my street. I don't have any quads so I thought this would be good to add to my collection as its so compact and easy to travel with and is much easier to carry around then my trusty naked pallet!

The packaging is simple and sleek making it super easy to pop in to your bag. The variety of light to dark shades makes it easy to experiment with meaning you could have a nice toned down day time look or even do a bold smokey eye for the evenings which is great to have all in one pallet.

The shades are highly pigmented so you only need a little bit on your brush and your good to go! The first shade is really light, you can barely see it on my hand but i use this a base just to even out the skin tone really. The darkest colour I tend to run through my crease to give my eyes a little more depth and then use either of the shimmery shades on the inner corner and blend out for the evening to give them a bit of extra colour and sparkle.

I've found the staying power to be really good too, when I use the two shades for the day time i've found that they last all day and i've even just topped it up using one of the shimmery shades for the evening to go out with and its looked fine!

I think this was around £8 in boots which is only £2 an eyeshadow so its a great price, I think its a great little quad for anyone who's just started to wear eyeshadow too!
