MaxFactor Smokey Eye Effect Eyeshadow- 2 Bronze Haze Review.

12 December 2013

I saw this little eye shadow crayon type thing in Boots a few weeks ago and picked it up to try as I didn't have anything else like it. Its a double ended pen with a lighter shade 'step one' which is a quite big rounded crayon and then a darker shade 'step two which is a much thinner, pointed crayon. The idea of this is to be able to do a quick and effortless smokey eye with no mess or hassle.

To apply you use the lighter shade all over the eye lid which is a very light creamy gold shade with a slight shimmer, this is such a nice base shade and could be used alone for a quick wash of colour. You then use the darker shade which is a really dark metallic brown shade on your lash line and in the crease of your eye and blend out to achieve a nice smokey eye.

I really liked the idea of this product, however I did find them quite hard to blend which made it quite hard to get quite a nice smokey eye. For a quick on the go product I do recommend these and I did enjoy using them but just expect a little time for blending! these come in eight different shades and are pieced at £6.99 from boots which is great value as you're getting two eye shadows.

Have you tried any other shades, I would love to see?
