Revlon: Colour Burst Balm Review

06 February 2014

Revlon Colour Burst Lip Balms: £7.99

I tried the Revlon Colour Burst Balms the first time round, and loved them. So obviously I had to get a few more when they recently released the Matte Balms, and the Lacquer balms. I picked up three of the balms, one of the new matte finishes, one lacquer finish and then one of the original balm stains. They were on offer at boots at the time, 3 for 2. Which is why I picked up one of each finish.

Obviously, I went for three different shads of red. I think I own more red lipsticks than anything else. First up up is shade 45: Romantic Red which is one of the original balm stains which is quite a sheer pinky red which is build-able for a more intense colour. This really nourishes the lips and leaves the feeling great.

Secondly I grabbed sade 135: Provocateur a Lacquer Balm which is a high shine balm which has a glossy finish, this shad is more of a deep berry red. The finish is lovely, it looks really glossy on the lips but also has a highly pigmented colour, it leaves your lips feeling fantastic too.

Lastly shade 240: Striking which is one of the matte balms, this is is more of an orangey red which has a matte like finish. Its highly pigmented and gives you a really strong colour. Although it has a matte finish it isn't at all drying on the lips and has a great staying power.
